Who wants to go on a holiday and explore the landscape so far always
had to decide between the alternatives to go either with a passenger
car or with a motor home. Now one needs only one vehicle for vacation
and everyday life - the Tikro. With only two meters width the Tikro is
not broader than a common passenger car. Therefore travellers can
settle on every parking space – even in the middle of the city. On
the other side the compact motor home is completely equipped with
kitchen, bathroom and comfortable beds. Holiday-makers are
thus not bound to a firm accommodation, but perfectly independent.

Big idea for narrow streets
The idea for the first motor home that is fit for daily use was born by
inventor Eugen Seitz as he got stuck with his own vehicle on the
narrow streets in the south of Europe. Unfortunately the most beautiful
spaces on earth are often not available by traditional motor homes.

The solution was found in the famous yellow pickup cars of the German
post. Due to their square superstructure they are compact outside but
surprisingly spacious inside. This was the birthday of the Tikro – the first
motor home with proper day-to-day driving characteristics.
